Thank You, Friends

Dear friends,

After many years, we've made the difficult decision to close Kaleido Concepts.

First, thank you. Thank you to everyone who backed us on Kickstarter all those years ago, when we were just an idea. That was the start of a wild and exciting ride.

Our goal was simple: travel goods and accessories made for women, designed by women. We were travel enthusiasts ourselves, and we'd seen so many products that were boring or just not thought through, such as the extra touches that actually make a difference when you're on the road. So we did our own research and created products we were proud of. Giving back mattered to us too, and we made sure that was part of the business from the start.

This whole experience took us to some amazing places. We worked with talented designers who helped us create the prints that made our pieces feel unique. We traveled to China to meet our manufacturers. We connected with retailers who wanted to carry our products. 

Mostly, though, it took us to you. Our customers grew our little business by telling their friends and family about us, by sharing it word of mouth, by sending us stories and pictures about where our products traveled with them around the world, or even bag sightings at the airport. We loved meeting customers at places like Disneyland with our bags, hearing every one of those stories.

We're sad to be closing. Running this business takes a lot of time and investment, and we've reached a point where we can't give it what it needs anymore. So it's time to close this chapter and see what's next. The website will be shut down on July 27, 2026. So if there is anything that you want to order as a backup or a gift, please get those orders before then.

We've been so lucky to have customers like you. Thank you again, for everything.
